At Notre École de Musique, students discover the joy of music through a program inspired by the French Conservatory tradition.
Learning happens in a structured and nurturing environment that brings together:
Theory & Solfège – the language of music
Chamber Music from an early age – learning to play together
Choral Experience – building ear, rhythm, and community
Dalcroze - Musicianship via Creative movement - Group lessons
Individual lessons - Piano, Voice, Composition
This approach combines technical mastery with a broad musical foundation, while encouraging artistic expression at every step.
Lessons may also be offered in French, upon request.
Notre École de Musique has been sponsored for vendor status with Chicago Public Schools.

Ayse Celasun founded Notre École de Musique in 2014; in 2020 the school was moved to Chicago's North Center neighborhood from the famous Fine Arts building downtown.
A native of Istanbul, Ayse began her music studies at the age of 5. After high school she moved to Paris with a scholarship to the École Normale de Musique, in the class of Germaine Mounier. Having obtained the Higher Diploma, together with a degree in musicology from the University of Paris VIII, she began teaching while playing professionally across Europe. At the time of her move to Chicago, Ayse was a tenured Assistant Professor at the Conservatoire National de Musique in Créteil, France
