She earned her Dalcroze Certificate from the Dalcroze School of the Rockies in July of 2020 and is working towards her Dalcroze License.
Dalcroze Eurhythmics is a vibrant, joyful experience that allows students to experience feeling
the flow and energy of music in their body through movement, singing, and improvisation.
The teacher’s improvised music guides, motivates, and stimulates the students as they move in
various imaginative ways by themselves and with their peers. Students experience new concepts
in their bodies before analyzing them verbally, relying on their instincts to guide their learning
before being told what they are learning.
The Dalcroze method is unique in addressing the development of musicality from the earliest
stages of learning. Since social interaction and group exercises are an integral part of Dalcroze
Eurhythmics, students also develop a heightened sense of non-verbal communication that vastly
improves their ensemble skills in orchestra and chamber music. Most of all, Dalcroze
Eurhythmics gives a new sense of joy and connection to music that they will carry with them to
all their future musical endeavors.
